Dustless Floor Refinishing
“WE ALWAYS LEAVE A BEAUTIFUL FLOOR, AND TAKE THE DUST WITH US!”
Hardwood is perhaps the most practical of all flooring materials…….But over time, the protective finish may wear off, most noticeably in heavy traffic areas. This is the prime reason for refinishing a hardwood floor. We provide an easy way to sand and refinish your hardwood floors.
Applying a modern new finish can even make hardwood floors much easier to maintain than when they were originally installed. Another benefit to refinish your hardwood floor is to freshen up the finish of a wood floor that’s dulled from being hidden under carpet for years. Another option with refinishing is changing the existing color of your floors to compliment your current style of decor.
Anyone who’s tried sanding a hardwood floor can tell you it can be difficult and messy. Rochester Hardwood Floor has the knowledge and experience to give your wood floors a quality new finish. We also have the finest equipment to handle the job efficiently, including continuous drum sanders to remove the existing finish and to prepare the wood to accept new stain. And most importantly, a dust collection system that attaches to every piece of sanding equipment for dust free floor refinishing.

What to Expect
Please have all furniture and pictures removed from the rooms involved in your project prior to our crews arrival. We will call you daily to update you on our crews arrival time for the next day.
Day 1 : Our crew will arrive and sand your floors smooth down to the bare wood and apply stain(only if requested) and your first coat of oil based polyurethane. Depending on the size of the area the crew will likely be there most of the day. You cannot walk on the floors for six to eight hours after the poly application and then only with stocking feet.
Day 2 : We will buff and apply the second coat of oil based polyurethane. Our crew will only be in your home for an hour or two and we do our best to schedule this for the morning. Once again you must wait six to eight hours before walking on the floors.
Day 3 : This is your final coat and once again you must wait six to eight hours before walking on the floors.
We recommend that you wait seventy two hours until the floors are fully cured before moving furniture in. Please DO NOT put area rugs or carpets on the floor for seven to ten days. As your project approaches we will send you a care sheet for your floors to insure that you can enjoy them for years to come!
